No. Under the FCRA, legitimate, accurate, and verifiable negative information cannot be permanently removed before its legal reporting period expires (generally 7 years, or 10 for bankruptcies). Any company claiming they can remove accurate information is making an illegal claim. Keith only disputes inaccurate, unverifiable, or unfair information — and that is what the law allows.
You have the right to cancel your contract within 3 business days under federal CROA law. Pennsylvania's Credit Services Act is even stronger — it gives you 5 business days to cancel without any penalty. The cancellation procedure will be clearly stated in your written contract.
Under the FCRA, credit bureaus have 30 days to investigate a dispute. Some items are resolved in one round; others require follow-up disputes, furnisher contact, or escalation. Most clients see meaningful changes within 60–90 days, though complex situations may take longer. Keith will give you a realistic timeline after reviewing your reports.
When a dispute is filed, the credit bureau must investigate within 30 days (or 45 days if you provided additional information). The bureau notifies the furnisher, who must investigate and report back. If the information is found to be inaccurate or unverifiable, it must be corrected or deleted. The bureau cannot re-insert deleted information unless the furnisher certifies it is accurate.
Under the federal Credit Repair Organizations Act (CROA) and Pennsylvania's Credit Services Act, Keith cannot charge you before services are fully performed. Payment is only due after agreed-upon services are complete. A written contract specifying all fees and services is provided before any work begins.
Yes — and Keith is required by law to tell you this. You have the legal right to dispute information on your credit report yourself at no cost by contacting Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion directly. AnnualCreditReport.com provides free annual reports. Keith provides professional expertise, advocacy, and persistence for clients who want a dedicated specialist handling the process.
Pennsylvania does not require a specific license for credit services organizations, but does require registration and a surety bond filed with the PA Department of State under 73 P.S. § 2187. Keith operates as a fully compliant Pennsylvania Credit Services Organization with a surety bond on file. Credit repair is legal in all 50 states when conducted in accordance with CROA and applicable state law.
The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act prohibits debt collectors from using abusive, deceptive, or unfair practices. You can request written verification of any debt within 30 days of first contact. Collectors must stop contacting you if you request it in writing. Violations can make the collector liable for up to $1,000 in statutory damages per violation, plus actual damages and attorney's fees. Keith helps identify and document FDCPA violations.
